Unit 4 Collective Agreement

A collective agreement is a legally binding employment documents that outlines all of your benefits (including wages), rights and responsibilities as an employee at McMaster.  It also outlines all of the responsibilities and obligations of the Employer (McMaster).

This is the first Collective Agreement at McMaster covering Residence Life employees and is only the third in Ontario to do so (CAs or their equivalents are unionized at the University of Toronto and unionized with CUPE at the University of Ottawa).

The Unit 4 Collective Agreement covers all employees of McMaster University, in the province of Ontario, employed in Residence Life save and except Residence Life Area Coordinators, persons above the rank of Residence Life Area Coordinator, and persons currently represented by an existing Trade Union.  The current agreement expires on August 31, 2029.

Collective Agreement: CUPE (Residence Life) and McMaster CA
