You can find a copy of the 2022-23 pay schedule here. Sessionals are paid in 8 equal installments in the fall and winter semesters, and in 4 equal installments in the spring and summer semesters.
This final pay of each semester represents what Service Canada refers to as an ‘interruption of earnings.’ If you apply for EI, the ‘day for which you were last paid’ and your ‘last day worked’ should be listed on your EI application. If you apply for – and recieve – EI, you will need to report the first day of work to end your EI payments.
At the end of each semester, the employer will upload your ROE automatically to Service Canada, generally with 5 business days following the last pay.
