Through the resolve of our membership’s support in the collective bargaining process, your union has secured two Gender Affirmation Funds – one covering Unit 1 members (TAs and RAs in lieu) and one covering Unit 3 members (postdocs).
Each of the funds is built on the same principles, but there are some important differences between them. Put simply, the purpose of these funds are to help offset the costs associated with gender affirmation – including but not limited to everyday medical, administrative, legal, and other expenses.
