CUPE 3906 is pleased to announce our local’s design competition. The aim of this competition will be to design a new header for our bulletin boards that are across campus. This design can be the basis of our local’s visual identity. All CUPE 3906 members who are interested in graphic design are highly encouraged to submit their designs for this competition.
Prizes: The 1st place design will receive a $150 cash prize.
The second place and third place designs will receive $25 gift cards for titles bookstore.
Submission Deadline: June 30th July 14th (deadline has been extended for another two weeks).
Procedure for selecting the winners: Three of the submitted designs will be chosen by the communications committee after the submission deadline. These three designs will be posted on the CUPE 3906 website for our members to vote on. Based on members vote the first winner will be selected.

- The address & phone number of our office is also required (Kenneth Taylor Hall (KTH) B111, McMaster University, 1280 Main Street West, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada L8S 4M4; 905-525-9140 ext. 24003). However, members can submit alternative designs without address as this design can be used for other occasions as well.
Colour: the main colour used to represent CUPE 3906 is generally bright orange (similar to our website cupe3906.org), with two alternative colours of bright pink (as used by Cupe national: http://goo.gl/uAy1F) and complete black and white as in our logo: http://goo.gl/4tDG6
Dimensions: Our bulletin boards are about 70x50cm each We would require to replace a header for this space.
Participants can include different designs (with different dimensions) if they are interested.
You can refer to the current temporary design as a starting point.
Note: By submitting their designs for this competition, all the participants give CUPE 3906 all the copyrights for their submission. The chosen design can be used as our new visual identity, and can be modified for various campaigns and platforms.
